Lazarus was robbed and killed on a business trip to Catlettsburg, Ky. He lived on the Kentucky side of the Tug River, above Louisa.
Married Vicy (Vicie/Luvicy) Ann Wiley, great-grandaughter of Jenny Sellards (who was captured by the Indians) and Thomas Wiley, on 6/30/1867...her first marriage, his second (first wife Jane Ratcliffe died). They were married in Lawrence County Kentucky by Owen Adkins, JPLC (Justice of the Peace of Lawrence County Kentucky) at the residence of S. Frasher (Frasier). Witnessed by B. Fitzpatrick and Ulysses Fitzpatrick. The Marriage Bond was attested to by a John Hardwick. Coincidentally or otherwise, Lazarus oldest daughter Elizabeth married a John Hardwick...could be the same man. If so, Lazarus son-in-law attested to the marriage bond of Lazarus second marriage.
