Williamson family records show her name as "Frances Vinson", daughter of Lafe Vinson. Question: Might Frances Vinson actually be Lucy F. Vinson...daughter of Lazarus (Lace) Vinson??? If so, her mother would most likely be Jane Racliffe, Lazarus Vinson's first wife. Lazarus Vinson later remarried Luvicy Ann Wiley, on June 30, 1867. Note on 4/22/93: I have
presumed the above and have entered Her as such. Lafe Vinson has been left in the file (RIN #323) just in case this is not correct.
Confirmed 4/25/1993 by William Jarrell Vinson who lives at 512 Biltmore Avenue, Lynchburg, Va 24502 (Telephone: 804-846-8073). He said Lucy Frances Vinson was the daughter of Lazarus (Lace) Vinson, but neither Jane Ratcliffe nor Vicy Ann Wiley was the mother. A Workman woman was the mother of Lucy Frances Vinson. But Lazarus Lace brought her home with him and she was raised by (primarily) Luvicy Ann (Wiley) Vinson.
